The parent company of Henri Bendel closed all of their stores and discontinued operations in 2019, but the long history of this storied brand will live on forever in the minds and closets of their loyal customers.
Henri Bendel founded his company in Greenwich Village in 1895 after moving to New York City from Louisiana. He moved to New York City to work as a milliner (hatmaker). The company’s flagship store was located at 712 Fifth Avenue, and they operated 22 other locations nationally.
The craftsmen at Rago Brothers have experience repairing and restoring Henri Bendel bags, purses, shoes, and accessories. Whether your handles need to be sewn and resealed, or you need stitching on your bag, our craftsmen are here to help.
