Peal & Co. is a high-quality men’s shoe brand owned by Brooks Brothers. The history of this very old brand goes back to late 1700s England. The company was founded in 1791 by Samuel Peal who made a name for himself by patenting a new technique to waterproof boots. The company later went on to become a hugely successful shoe and boot maker that shipped its custom, hand-made products worldwide. The company closed its doors and sold its brand and intellectual property to Brooks Brothers in 1965.
